Vintage Book Cover Inspiration
"a classic execution for a modern audience."
The series' idea came from a line in the assignment brief asking for: the old-school Star Trek TOS (The Original Series) fandom to be surprise & delighted by catering to classic episode nostalgia
Star Trek's primary Social Media Producer, Zak, had mentioned the existence of the Star Trek Universe's classic book series based on original adventures & stories from the golden-era cast. I spent time researching series' more "evergreen" book cover layouts and chose to base design off of the 1970-1972 era of paperbacks, published by Random House and Pocket Science Fiction.
Even though the initial application of the series was Series Premiere social posts – Paramount+ decided to produce the series as exclusive ComicCon print collectibles.
