To help build awareness for Paramount+'s upcoming second season of the award-winning Jordan Peele created anthology series – the rebooted The Twilight Zone – I was tasked in creating a unique key art for each of the 10 new episodes. They were to debut with the launch of the first set of episodes as an IGN exclusive as well as a ComicCon exclusive Paramount+ booth print handout. Each episode would have corresponding key art inspired by trends and styles from different generations eras of key art & poster design.
During the brainstorm stage - we deliberated on which eras of movie poster design were suited for which episodes. Hundreds of inspiration images were bucketed out and sorted through multiple shared Pinterest mood boards. Below you will see generalized inspirational image (left) - along with the finished art that made it to digital and print (right)
I was responsible for the on-the-box creative for seven of the ten required compositions. While overseeing the creative direction for the campaign overall - the remaining three designs included creative contributions from associate Art Directors – each credited in captions for the corresponding pieces.
